Lee has been working in the Soft Facilities Management sector since 2006. Lee’s initial experience was as a Domestic Services Manager for Milton Keynes Primary Care Trust, completely forming a new service from scratch following the decision to bring cleaning back in-house. In 2010 Lee became the Trust’s Environment Assurance Manager, continuing to manage the Domestic Service whilst also leading on waste and cleanliness across the organisation.

Lee gained several promotions in 2014, 2016 and 2017 and in 2018 was appointed as QTS Head of Facilities Management for Soft FM Services. Within this role Lee is responsible for all Soft FM services, including cleaning, catering, front of house (reception & security), waste, pest control, linen and laundry, grounds and gardens and window cleaning. Lee has experience of managing both contracted out and in-house services.

Lee leads the Trust’s annual PLACE assessment programme where CNWL has the second most qualifying sites in the country. Lee has been involved in PLACE (and formally PEAT) for a number of years and is regularly invited to attend other organisation’s assessments as an independent validator, clocking up well over 100 assessments overall. Lee was also part of the small working group that developed the cleanliness section of the audit tool.

Lee is actively involved in a number of industry associations and groups and is the current National Chairman for the Association of Healthcare Cleaning Professionals (AHCP), the UK’s leader in its sector. Lee has been an active member of the AHCP since 2008 and during this time has held a number of branch and national posts.
